Our Lessons

Tailored Equine Assisted Activities

Rainbow Therapeutic Riding Center provides equine assisted activities to a variety of students. This approach uses the horse to achieve individual goals. These goals can be physical, cognitive, social, educational, mental health or behavioral. Our programs are highly individualized and our instructors adapt lessons to meet the needs of the student.

Some riders want to improve mobility, others want to increase their ability to understand the world around them. The goals are as many and varied as the students who ride with us.

Our team helps the riders to achieve their goals while creating a fun experience. The joy of being on a horse provides momentum to accomplish the goals that carry over into life beyond the farm.

Participants come once a week at a designated time. During lessons participants are assisted by up to three volunteers, and each lesson is led by a qualified instructor.

Our instructors are PATH certified. They meet the rigorous standards of the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH). To achieve and maintain certification, a PATH instructor must pass an exam and take continuing education courses.

The result is a quality therapeutic program that creates trackable and measurable success!
