“I like riding and leading the horse around the ring. Also,I like doing the Fun Show every year because most recently I was able to do an event off lead.” - Nick

Nick has been riding at Rainbow Therapeutic Riding Center longer than almost any other current rider. He started riding during high school through a school program called Mane Experience. After Nick graduated in 2014, his love of horses continued and he has been taking regular lessons at Rainbow ever since.

Nick’s grandfather shares, “Therapeutic horse riding is the ONLY support-related activity in which Nick has stayed interested and “stuck” with for so long!”

One of Nick’s biggest goals in his lessons has been to ride independently and he has met that and then some! This winter, Nick has been working hard on perfecting his posting trot and is making great progress with his horse Bentley, volunteer spotter Ann and instructor Anne.

When he’s not working hard on horseback, Nick also enjoys caring for his horse on the ground from grooming and tacking to barn chores.
