Fund a Rainbow Student for One Semester this Giving Tuesday

It’s Giving Tuesday, a time to unleash your generosity and show your support for causes close to your heart. This year we wanted to tell you all about one of our students named Teddy; you've seen his picture on our Facebook page but here's his story in the words of his Mom:

"Teddy always looks forward to going to Rainbow. Even when we had to take time off for his hip surgeries because of his cerebral palsy, he would say that he wanted to ride and sing songs with his Instructor, Ms. Jensen! His posture straightens, and his confidence blooms when on his horse; he has learned to hold the reins and is now able to ride without side walkers. Teddy's team of staff and volunteers comes to us with excitement after each lesson to tell us what improvements he has made! Riding a horse is fun, special, and not at all like the typical therapy Teddy has attended all his life - but just like physical therapy, it is benefiting his gross motor skills and promoting speech development while he talks and sings and tells his horse to “ride on. We are so thankful to have found Rainbow!"

And we are so thankful to you, our Rainbow supporters, who help us to provide life changing programs to students like Teddy at an affordable price. It costs $750 to provide one student with 10 weeks of equine assisted activities and every dollar you donate goes directly to their lessons. Come celebrate our students' successes!

It’s almost the end of the spring semester and we will be celebrating our students’ successes this coming Tuesday and awarding their badges as part of the United States Pony Club Horse Management Badge Program. This semester they have been learning about parts of the horse - with a little help from new staff member, Bailey - whilst those new to Rainbow have been working on their grooming badge. The event runs from 6:00 - 7:00pm and you are invited to bring along your favorite cookies to share (no nuts or nut products please). Please feel free to bring family and friends. RSVP with guest numbers to rainbow@rainbowriding.org by Monday, May 22nd. We look forward to seeing you all in the Rainbow viewing area on Tuesday at 6pm!

Rainbow is a place where individuals with special challenges come together, and where victories — some dramatic, some modest, but all significant — are joyously celebrated.

Today we celebrate the success made possible this year by YOU and our whole community of supporters, riders, volunteers, family, friends, the Rainbow team and, of course, our equines!

Our Riders Need YOUR Help

Dear Rainbow Friends and Supporters,

Fall is the most important time for nonprofit fundraising. It determines to a great degree the plans for the new year and how to make services available to all who need them. Almost all 501c3s have active fundraising campaigns right now, and we are thrilled that you consider supporting Rainbow and our riders who benefit from our therapeutic riding programs.

Our heartfelt Year End appeal is on its way and you will receive a letter from us  in the mail or in your inbox soon. Please, help us reach our goal of $30,000 – every donation matters and your support means the world to all of us at Rainbow.

November is also the month of Giving Tuesday (also #GivingTueday) the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. It is touted as a "global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world". It is a global campaign, promoted through social media to encourage online giving. It is a growing effort to garner social interest and community involvement. Rainbow is participating again and we hope you partner with us to reach our goal!

We need your help, so we can continue to save lives one hoofbeat at a time.
